Terms of Service

Who we are
The Birth Letter (eu.thebirthletter.com) is a service of MB Violetinis rytas, a company registered in Lithuania (company code 307055066), Beržų g. 10, LT-90422 Plateliai, Lithuania. Contact: help@thebirthletter.com. All our details are in the Legal Notice.
These terms apply to every order and every use of the site. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Who can order
You must be at least 18 years old. Our offer is aimed at consumers.
What you get
Personal letters written from the details you give us: your first name and full birth name, date, time and place of birth, the question you ask and, only if you choose, a photo of your face. Letters are delivered in your private account and by email, as text, as a PDF and with an audio version.
Your letter is not written by hand, and no psychic, astrologer or other person writes or reads it. It is prepared by our software and our service providers (named in the Privacy Policy), following our method, and checked against our quality rules before you see it. A computer-generated voice reads the audio version.
What you can buy: your complete letter (seven chapters) and, as an add-on in the same order, "Two More Questions" – two more letters for two new questions, waiting for you in your account.
What a letter is – and what it isn't
Letters are for self-reflection and entertainment. They do not predict events and they are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice. You are responsible for the decisions you make.
For your safety: if what you write shows that you may be in danger right now, we don't write the letter. We show you where to get help instead. For other difficult themes, your letter is written with extra care and tells you where to find support.
Your details – and other people's
You confirm that the details you enter are accurate and that you have the right to enter them. Only add another person's details (for example, for a letter about two people) if you know them personally and have good reason to believe they would not object. Never upload another person's photo – the photo option is only for your own face, and only with your consent.
How the contract is made
What we show on our site is not yet a binding offer. When you click the order button on the checkout form, you make a binding offer. The contract is concluded when we confirm your order by email or make your letter available to you. The contract is concluded in English. We do not store the contract text separately; you can find these terms here at any time, and you receive the order confirmation by email.
Prices and payment
All prices are final prices in euros and include VAT at the statutory rate. Payments are processed securely by ThriveCart and Stripe on our behalf; we never see or store your full card number. On your card statement we appear as THEBIRTHLETTER.
No subscriptions
Every order is a one-time payment. Nothing renews. A letter you haven't used stays in your account until you use it.
Delivery
Your complete letter is usually in your account less than ten minutes after you order. We email you as soon as it is ready.
Right of withdrawal and guarantee
Your statutory right of withdrawal and our voluntary 60-day guarantee (we give you back everything, no reason needed) are explained on the page Refund and Guarantee.
Acceptable use
Please don't misuse the site: no unlawful or abusive content, no attempts to break or overload our systems, no automated scraping, and no reselling our letters or presenting them as your own service.
Intellectual property
The site, the software and our texts belong to us. Your letter is yours to keep, read, print and share for personal, non-commercial use.
Liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability for intent or gross negligence, for harm to life, body or health, or the producer's liability for defective products. In the case of slight negligence, and to the extent the law allows, we are liable only for the breach of essential obligations of the contract and only up to the amount of the damage that is foreseeable and typical for this kind of contract. Your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer – including your rights in the event of a lack of conformity of digital content – remain unaffected.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply to orders placed after the update.
Governing law
The law of the Republic of Lithuania applies. If your habitual residence is in another country of the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of that country.
